Open-ended character transfers from server to server ?

Most interesting thread found here regarding the ability to openly move your characters around. It will likely be a for cost option I would guess. What are your thoughts?
 
I hope the cost would be fair and not prohibitive, yet high enough to discourage people from casually switching servers. At a cost of $50 (USD), many people would seriously reconsider moving characters. Yet those who are having serious connectivity issues with a server would be happy to pay that to get their main switched to a server they haven't had problems with.
 
Yeah, aside from the cost, it will be VERY interesting to see if they allow PVP <> PVE as all they said was realm transfers, not types.
