I was searching around for a content filter for many different reasons, and LifeHacker mentioned OpenDNS...at first I was just like...ehh...I don't just want a porn blocker...then, after getting my free account set up, and setting the new DNS up on my router...I found out just how awesome OpenDNS is... Not only can you filter out porn, but it also filters phishing sites, adware sites, and just about anything else you want to filter, and the filters work very well... Now, not only can you filter content, but you can make "shortcuts" in the DNS, like 'g' for 'google.com', so if I want to go to google.com, all I have to do is put 'g' in my address bar... Now, when I thought it couldn't get any cooler, it is speeds up the time in which it takes to contact websites...certain, longer time loading sites, load almost instantly now... I see OpenDNS as almost a necessary tool for my network now...check it out, it is free...
