Opinions on Super Mario Maker?

Has anyone purchased and played Super Mario Maker?

I currently have a 30% coupon for one of 14 games on the eShop and SMM is one of the titles listed.

I also have a $15 balance on the account thanks to a $20 gift card I received from a friend a while back.

So it would be $27 out of pocket and a good birthday present from @Ember. :>

Thoughts?

@Ember "bought" it for me as my birthday gift. ("Bought" in quotes because it was her gift to me, but I did the actual purchasing on the Nintendo eShop.)

My older daughter has created 6 levels so far.

I have created 0 so far.

But I have, of course, played all the levels my older daughter created.

The game has been a joy to play so far.

I got sidetracked by a somewhat-impulse purchase (which I'll announce in another thread) this last Saturday, but I hope to get back to SMM tomorrow night or some time this weekend.

I used to love playing Mario very much and recently decided to remember my youth. I tried to play roms on several sites and I can say one thing: this one is the best!

Super Mario World remains one of my favorite games ever. I can't believe it released 30 years ago.
