I just learned earlier today that some folks on the CGA Discord had not received registration emails when trying to create forum accounts. @Hescominsoon, our hosting provider, understandably does not want to risk getting blacklisted for spam and, as such, has disabled outbound mail for the server that hosts our forums.
That means we needed to switch to a different email transport method: either SMTP or Google OAuth. I didn't find much information on configuring XenForo to use OAuth, so I decided we'd go with SMTP.
I set up an account with a SMTP relay service that offers a free plan with a limit of 300 emails per day and it appears to be working!
So if you had trouble registering an account on our forums before, please try resetting your password or request the forums resend your confirmation email and you should be able to finish the registration process.
