my main system has been down since dec and so far ive been able to get a mobo, and just toiday i ordered the rest of the parts ^_^

That system better bench 8000+ on 3dmark03 and/or 1500+ 3dmark05 :D Or thats what i'm estimating, since my system pulls about that.

Woot aoe3 on max graphics, HL2, CS:S, gaming machine woot woot. First thing we are doing atown, aoe3 game.
 
im just praying i dont have to reformat becuase my current xp copy is compaq OEM
 
If you don't swap motherboards, you stand a fair chance of not having to reformat. If you are installing a new motherboard, back up your documents, nuke the drive, and re-install Windows XP. It's what I had to do after buying my new motherboard, but now I have a Ghost image on DVD I can use if anything particularly nasty happens to my OS.
 
Atown, you do know that the compaq OEM xp will not install on the custom build. If you dont have a xp that is not proprietary to a company, you'll have to buy XP also.
 
see the current proplem is, i cant ghost my drive due to the fact i dont have a machine lol. and yeah im swapping new mobo in. meh, i guess i will propably have to buy new xp, but thats just lame... but we'll see.... I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!
