Found a cool Mesmer Phantasm Build i wanted to share with everyone
Key to this build is 59% critical chance and 100% critical damage without ANY buffs!!!!!
those are the numbers you start with before any buffs or bonuses!!!!

BREAKDOWN:
Armor- Berserkers
Runes- Scholar (Ruby Orbs are a cheap alternative but stats don't compare to Scholar runes)
Accessories- Berserkers
Slots- Exquisite Ruby Jewels

Weapon Sets- Berserker Type
Sword/Focus Sigils- Battle/Accuracy
Greatsword Sigil- Force

Traits:
10= 3
30= 2,4,10
0
30= 2,8,9
0

Healing/Utilities
6= Ether feast or Mirror (your choice)
7= Decoy
8= Null Field or Veil (your choice ) These skills don't work underwater
9= Feedback
0= Mass Invis or Time Warp (your choice)

Now time for the stats that made me catch serious interest;
Attack
3184-Sword/Focus
3283-GreatSword

Crit Chance
59%-Sword/Focus
52%-GreatSword

Crit Damage
100%-Sword/Focus
99%-GreatSword

Health 18,082 <--same for both weapons
Armor 1836<----same for both weapons

Very nice. I may try this out when I get my mesmer levelled up. I seem to be favoring a GS/S+P right now. I'm not committed to the pistol however.
 
Haven't played my Mesmer in ages. Keep thinking about coming back to her.

One thing that has bugged me about Mesmer as a profession is that I never really liked the way sword plays, but it seems to be the go-to weapon in so many builds.
