Prayer Request for My Wife

My wife went to the doctor today for some "seemingly" mild issues she was having however she is going to end up having two separate surgeries.

The first is a cyst that has developed on a nerve on her wrist, and the other is a hernia in her stomach. She was complaining last night about her stomach but just figured it was the pain medicine the doctor had called in for her wrist making her stomach hurt.

To top it off the sinus problems she thought she was having turned out to be an ear infection. I would ask that you pray for her as she needs it right now.

Thxs,
Heath

A ganglion cyst?

Yes, she had it drained last year and she didn't have any more troubles from it until now, the doctor said if it came back she would probably have to have it surgically removed. This time it came back less gelatinous and more like a spongy ball.

Well in the olden days, they used to put a book on them and hammer until they broke.....or was it hit them with a book?

The pain has subsided somewhat, she actually got a decent night's sleep last night. She's still waiting to hear from the doctor about her appointment. A kind of good/bad thing is they might be laid off from work next week so if she can have one of the surgeries then it would be a plus for her.

Hehe Yep Gobs! Hit them with a book. they're called Bible Bumps as a nickname. I had one on my wrist. My doc told me surgery rarely fixes the problem and they come back 99.9 percent of time so I slammed Maher's bible down on my Bible bump, it worked. I wouldn't exactly advise you to do the same, but if you do, don't use a hardback cover, a soft-covered heavy book is good enough :D
Lol funny. It didn't hurt, other than the feeling that I was dropping a book on my hand... though another cyst reappeared four months later.
*reaches for the Bible...*

Lol hadn't heard that nickname. My son had a whole bunch of them on his hands when he was 5 years old and they reoccur ....I'll have to remember "bible bumps" lol. Grandma told me about the book thing.

How is she? Is the hernia giving her a lot of the pain?

Good news is her ear infection is gone. The hernia is making her nauseated a lot because of where it is at, not as much pain however as when it first made itself known. Bad news is that it will be 2 weeks or more before she can get an appointment just to see the Gastrologist.
