Hey All!
I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I want to make you aware of a few raiding changes we will be implementing.
1. Instead of having a single person over all raiding, we're going to move to the "Trifecta" model we've used with the Guild Leaders. We've found that the GL position and the Head RL positions bring with them a ton of stress. Sure, if we didn't have full time jobs, one person could do it, but let's be honest, we pay to play this game because it's fun, not because we want another job!
Samboe, Grim, and Treehouse will make up "Raid Leader Trifecta 1.0". Samboe and Grim have both shown the ability to lead raids and well... I guess I'm adult supervision, cause I suck at leading raids. I'll be doing more of the behind the scenes stuff as usual. At this point, we are not making the head raid leader positions "officer" positions. This may change at some point, but I'm in no rush.
2. As most of you know, Mordos stepped down from the head raid leader position about two weeks ago. Several miscommunications and misunderstandings later Redeemed was syndicated as a soap opera with NBC. I just want to give everyone a quick update, and let me tell you there has been hours and hours of behind the scenes phone calls/vent meetings.
The quick and dirty version is that Mordos asked to be demoted from the Head Raid Leader position, but he had been hoping to continue leading raids, as that is one of his favorite things to do.
Tonight before the raid he will be promoted back to "Raid Leader" status. In addition, Samboe, Grim, and I have asked Mordos to assist behind the scenes with strategy and organization. An outside consultant... Like in Office Space... "The Bobs" Hmmm, i might change his guild note...
No more drama please, no one involved in the situation is harboring negative feelings, we've all talked, and are on the same page. So if you feel yourself looking for a conspiracy, stop, it's just gossip. Got it? Good... Moving right along...
3. As Samboe has mentioned, we are going to begin with at least 2 - 10 man Ulduar teams. I have asked Samboe and Grim to lead one team, and Mordos and Chalice to lead a second. The goal of the 2 - 10 man teams is to prepare a large group of people for the 25 man instance. The teams will not be competing, but collaborating. If one team progresses faster than the other, we may shift players around accordingly. Both teams will discuss and agree on the same strats beforehand so when we join together for 25 mans, we are all on the same page.
There is also a possibility that Angry will be starting a "Weekend Ulduar" team for those unable to raid during the week.
We may start on 25 man Ulduar as early as tonight depending on how many people show up.
I think that's about it... You'll start seeing more final information from Samboe and Grim in the near future. We are going to try to nail down 2 - 10 man teams for the coming week.
I want to thank Grim, Chalice, Samboe, Mordos, and Angry for leading all the raids. You guys don't always get noticed when things go well, but you're always noticed when you give loot to the wrong person. You've all been doing an awesome job.
