ok here is what i came up with (stats and links will be at bottom of post)
ALL gear listed to get these stats below is Exotic
Note: (better gear such as ascended or Celestial will change stats)

Armor = Carrion w/Undead Runes
Accessories = Carrion w/Exquisite Chrysocola Jewels
Weapons = Melee Axe-Torch Range Shortbow
Sigils of your choice depending on your needs/likes

TRAITS
Skirmishing 30 = 2 Sharpen Edges,8 Trappers Expertise,11 Trap Potency
Wilderness Survival 30 = 6 Wilderness Knowledge,7 Off-Hand Training,8 Oakheart Slave
Nature Magic 10 = 3 Nature's Bounty

Decent Damage Weapon Skills (reduced cooldowns listed are From trait choices)
Axe/Torch
#2 Splitblade 6 sec bleed 3,600 dmg
#4 Throw Torch 6 sec burn 4,293 dmg ---->12 sec cooldwn
#5 Bonfire 1 sec burn 5,724 dmg ----->20 sec cooldwn

Shortbow
#2 Poison Volley 2 sec poison 2,389 dmg

Healing/Utilities
6 Healing Spring
7 Flame Trap -2 sec burn 1,431 dmg -------> 12 sec cooldwn
8 Vipers Nest -6 sec poison 1,434 dmg ------>16 sec cooldwn
9 Spike Trap -10 bleed 3,600 dmg -------->20 sec cooldwn
0 Entangle -8 sec bleed 13,440 dmg ----->120 sec cooldwn (originally a 150 sec cooldwn without trait)

Unbuffed Stats
Health 23,062
Attack 2585
Armor 2346
Cond dmg 1550

you can put out a high amount of damage while still keeping high health and reasonable toughness to stay alive.
most of the cooldowns are reduced and allow you to incorporate your own style of rotation
to ensure you get max damage output without waiting forever on slow cooldowns
