Rememberance day - Canada

November 11 is the day that Canadians honour our Canadian troops contributions to the effort of maintaining freedom and peace for Canada and her allies. And for the ongoing work of our son's and daughter's in being a symbol of that peace and freedom in other nations, where ever they may be.

At 11am, I hold silent vigil and prayer for my troops and the troops of my nations allies.

God, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts
they perform for us in our time of need.
Amen

2 minutes, a pittance of time for all they have sacrificed!.

Thanks Avesther for the song and the reminder.

To those serving both in Canada and the US, we salute you! Thank you so much for standing and protecting your families and countries.

I think it is quite unique and special that two independent and sovereign nations, Canada and the USA, have buckled down and created a means to mutually defend North America, with troops on each others soil. And not just having troops on each others soil but willingly under the command of each others commanders.
