Ok Monday night we decided to get a PvP team together to try a Trapper build for fun it started as 5 of us and we held our own and lost 2. Soon more people logged on around 10:30pm EST and we had a full 8 man team we went on to win 3 in a row and we dominated!! We got better each round became easier and easier. At the end we had 3 Monks (1 Protect 2 Heal) 1 Barrage Ranger who was running the flag and the rest were trappers. We had only 1 death at the end of our 3rd victory!! The other team just started to leave they knew they could not win. So it is Official a Trapping Group will work!!
 
Congratulations to all who participated. I wish I had been there. With the recent change to my job, Mondays are a long, busy day. Hopefully I won't be so tired next Monday.

I logged in briefly to check out standing. Looking really good. I would guess that 1 or 2 more wins should get us onto the published Guild Wars Ladder showing the top 1000 guilds.

And yes, the prebuilt trappers work pretty well. I've used one at the Zaishen challenge a few times and done almost as well as the PvE trappers. The thing I like about that template is that, in addition to the traps, there are a few decent bow attacks to use while the traps recharge.

I deleted evil destiny (ya im sad too) to make room for a pvp slot, since then i have unlocked spike trap and now have a full trapper ready.

I was playing in pvp random earlier today, and trapping is fun :p, several rounds ended when a person ran right into a large clump of my traps. The most interesting game was 3 people ( 2 monks and my trapper) took on 3 rangers and a warrior in the shiverpeak arena. Lo and behold 95% of warriors will take the right side(maybe they lack no originality? or maybe its brains) but anyway he hit 6 traps and was mauled.

the rangers all eventually fell. finally the ranger who survived started running in the same path around the arena. he was mouthing off about how i couldnt trap(lol), so qz went up and traps went down.

once i figured i had enough i ran back and started to trap around the ranger, he did like he did before, unfortunately a bunch of traps were waiting :P

if you are a ranger trapper, bring a rod that does holy damage, some necros carry the 70 armor that gets +28 damage when they get hit by holy damage,
unfortunately one necro had that and suffered a painful trapping experience.
