Ladies
Caterpillar was playing on Disney.com this morning. She loves playing in the Little Einsteins section. After playing one of the games, she turned around and asked me if I liked playing Little Einsteins when I was a little girl. I had to respond...They did not have Little Einsteins when I was a little girl. A look of shock and disbelief came over her face...

"Mommy, you mean they did not have the program installed on the computer when you were a little girl?"

"Actually, the did not have computers (like we have today) when I was a little girl"

"<Gasp>"

Hope asked me today if I liked children's church when I was little.
I had to tell her, that there wasn't any, and she also was in disbelief.

Also, something to laugh at, Hope got counseled today for kissing a boy in class.
And here I thought that wouldn't start until she as 9 or 10, LOL. :D
When I asked her why she kissed him, she said, "I like him, he's my friend."
So we had an impromptoo discussion on who to kiss (ie:Mommy, Daddy, grandparents, cousins, and sisters).
She was totally understanding, I HOPE  .
hehe

ROFL. Is it not a amazing the times that this upcoming generation lives in?

When I was a kid, the only computer we had was a comodor 64. I thought it was the most awesome thing ever! (Still do. hard to beat text based games where you had to think to win....Or Donald Ducks Playground.... Or batman, The game....)

I have a story of my own to share.

I was babysitting three kids. 2 boys and a girl. We went out for McDonalds. (Their choice, not mine....) Anyway, I have a 97 GMC Jimmy. I like my car. :D It has a Cassette Steroe system in it. THe kids wanted to know 3 about my car. 1.) Where were the TV screens that should be in the back of my headrests... 2.) Where was the DVD player and 3.) What was a cassette?

I About died laughing. They have grown up without Records, Cassette's or knowing what it means to flips disks 20 times to play a game. :D Ah, the signs of the times...

*Pokes Talon*
Remember when we had Sticks and mud to play with?:p

My dad says that we are lucky to have sticks, he only had mud! :D :p :D

PW, I can totally related.

HCS picked up Caterpillar from school one day. She was sitting in the back seat smiling away. When HCS asked her what was going on she said "So and So has a crush on me and I have a crush on him" Aparantly, a friend of a friend of a friend told her that this little boy had a crush on her. When HCS asked if he was her boyfriend, she very firmly replied that she was too young to have a boyfriend. oh my....kindergarten.....

Now, kindergarten crushes aparently consist of niether party speaking to or playing with each other on the playground. About three weeks after announcing this crush, Caterpillar came up to me looking very upset. The boy no longer had a crush on her. She was very upset over it. oh my again.....

Fortunately, Daddy was able to help her feel better. We then had the long talk about boys being friends, but that was it. She has not mentioned anything about kissing boys, but we have told her that that is something best saved for marriage and she has to be "old like Mommy and Daddy" before getting married.

During the whole marriage conversation (with a 5-year-old) we reasured her that Daddy and I would help her pick out the man she was going to marry.

It is amazing that we would even need to have this talk with a 5 year-old. Plus, the only two people who can get married are ONE man and ONE woman. I am astounded that we would need to even bring this up, but we must teach her the Truth.

P.S now who remembers 8-track tapes?

Hmmm.......8 tracks!
Anyways, your not old, I can remember going to the record store and buying the newest 45s.

I remember listening to 45s..... A, Cds are great, but nothing beats the sound of records.... I don't know why, call me nostalgic if you like, but even with the "crisp" sound that cds have, records still sound really good....
