Welcome to the Snapshot Section! Here, every once and a while, I'll take a Screenshot of a Player and post about their Loadout. This is your chance to shine! I'll contact Players, coordinate a time to meet with them on the TOJ. Server, get a good Screenshot of them, and do some homework to find details about 3 main aspects of each Player. So pick your Favorite Loadout or your Favorite Class to play and SMILE for your Snapshot! :D

This Snapshot features BrickBro!

On his head you'll notice a nautical hat called the Salty Dog! The Salty Dog is an ALL-Class community-created item. This hat is a typical skipper's cap, with a team-colored cotton top, gold anchor insignia and shining black brim. This item has two styles - "Salty" and "Smoky". The "Smoky" style adds a pipe in the classes' mouth while "Salty" does not.

Trivia...
  • Caps like these have been a long time symbol of offshore command and are favored by modern day yacht owners.
  • "Salty dog" is a nautical slang term for an experienced sailor.
BrickBro's Salty Dog is painted Team Spirit Colors (Red and Blue) and is Strange (it has a track record of points scored while wearing it - currently at 24 points).

Secondly, BrickBro's Scout is wearing a Misc item on his ears. This is the Cadet Visor Misc. The Cadet Visor is a community-created item only for the Scout. It's a futuristic team-colored glass visor with dials on the sides. For some users, the glass part of the visor will become transparent on certain surfaces, such as the Scout's face. This is a bug likely due to a material error.

Trivia...
  • This item was based on the VISOR designed and worn for Geordi la Forge in the Star Trek series whom was a lieutenant on the USS Enterprise-D who had to wear it on account of his blindness.

  • A cadet is the lowest commissioned military officers rank, right below lieutenant.
BrickBro's Cadet Visor is Strange so it keeps a running total of all his kills in-game while wearing this item (currently at 23 points).

Lastly, you notice the weapon. The Lugermorph is a promotional secondary weapon only for Scout and Engie. It functions identically to the Pistol and is basically considered a Reskin of the Pistol by most players.

Trivia...
  • The Lugermorph was awarded in the vintage quality to players who purchased Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse on Steam or Telltale store before April 26, 2010.
  • Currently, it's awarded in unique quality to players who complete the Poker Night at the Inventory achievement Special Item: Max by defeating Max in a knockout round.
  • It's based upon the sidearm of Max, the "hyperkinetic rabbity thing" from Sam & Max.

BrickBro's Lugermorph has KillStreaks Active (this keeps track of his highest KillStreak each Round in-game, but resets for each new round) with a Hot Rod (pink) Sheen flashing periodically down the body of the gun!

This Snapshot features Squrle!

The Killer Exclusive is a promotional all-class cosmetic. It's an old-fashioned brown journalist's fedora with a card saying 'PRESS' stuck in the rim. This hat was awarded in Genuine quality to players who bought either PC Gamer Digital Episode 1 on Steam or PC Gamer issue 232 (UK) and used the activation code contained inside. Squrle has painted his Killer Exclusive Hat Indubitably Green.

Next you'll notice Squrle's facial hair. The Camera Beard is a promotional cosmetic only for Spy. It's a brown, bushy fake beard, covering the Spy's face from the nostrils down, with a film camera cleverly hidden within the beard with tape. This item is awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchase the BLU Spy Action Figure.

Trivia...
  • This item is a tongue-in-cheek reference to real-world spy micro-cameras, which are disguised as innocuous articles of clothing such as shirt buttons or wristwatches, or in this case, a fake beard.
  • Initially, the Spy had rejected the Camera Beard for being "ridiculous" on Day 4 of the Sniper vs. Spy Update, and elected to purchase the Cloak and Dagger and Dead Ringer instead.
Squrle's beard has been painted Indubitably Green and is a Vintage Item. Vintage Items are items that were acquired before September 30th 2010 when the Mann-Conomy Update came out. You can see the Spy's cigarette clips through the Camera Beard, narrowly avoiding catching the beard on fire!

The Assassin's Attire is a Community-Created cosmetic only for Spy. Assassin's Attire was added to the game March 28th 2018. It's a fitted "Italian cut" suit (a slim fit with 2 button close and scarf pocket) with a black collar, black pockets, and a black shirt. It features a paintable team-colored tie and handkerchief in the chest pocket. Squrle's is painted Indubitably Green.

Lastly, you'll notice Squrle's weapon of choice. The Knife, also known as the Butterfly Knife or Balisong, is the default melee weapon for Spy. It's a foldable butterfly knife with a handle clip and clip-point blade. Squrle's knife is an Australium weapon (the gold colored blade). This knife has been Festivized which is why you see the colored Christmas lights wrapped around it. His knife also has a Specialized Killsteak kit on it that keeps track of Total kills and Pyros killed. This kit also added a Mean Green color sheen to his weapon. This sheen pulses down the weapon in-game. Currently, Squrle's Knife is tracked at 735 Pyros killed and 7,801 Total kills.

This Snapshot features Crater Labs!

Crater's Demo Hat is called the Saxton. The Saxton is a community-created all-class hat. It's a wide-brimmed Akubra hat similar to what Saxton Hale wears, with crocodile teeth fitted in slots in the hatband and a small tear on the edge of the brim. Akubra is an Australian Hat manufacturer that's associated with bush hats made of rabbit fur felt with wide brims that are worn in rural Australia. To get the Saxton hat, a player must complete the Brazil map contract in the maps section of the Jungle Inferno Contracts or trade for it.

Trivia...
  • The Saxton is very similar to the Trophy Belt, a Limited hat for the Sniper.

Next you'll notice Crater's badge. The License to Maim is an all-class promotional cosmetic item. It's the Freelance Police badge used by the characters Sam and Max, which is a gold badge with the words "Sam & Max Freelance Police" and a number one engraved upon it. A blue star with the scales of justice on it also appears centered on the badge. The badge is awarded alongside the Lugermorph after defeating Max during a round of Poker Night at the Inventory where he has bought in with the two items instead of cash.

Trivia...
  • The License to Maim is a play on the character James Bond's License to Kill.
  • The License to Maim and the Lugermorph are collectively known in Poker Night at the Inventory as the Crimestomper Combo.
  • The "1" engraved on the License to Maim denotes that it belongs to Sam, implying that, in "Poker Night at the Inventory", Max wagered his partner's badge instead of his own.

Crater's Weapon of choice for his Demo is the Grenade Launcher. His Launcher is a Mercenary Grade Grenade Launcher with a Factory New Woodsy Widowmaker Mk.II war paint on it. War Paint was added in the Jungle Inferno Update to basically replace your weapon with one that has a paint job on it. Currently there are 59 different War Paint Designs. Decorated weapons also possess one of five different levels of exterior wear.

These levels of wear, in order of least worn to most worn, are:

  • Factory New
  • Minimal Wear
  • Field-Tested
  • Well-Worn
  • Battle Scarred
So Crater's Factory New Woodsy Widowmaker Mk.II war paint job is a brand new design with no marks or scratches on it!

Woo! Nice snapshot write-up, thanks!

Couldn't decide between the Woodsy Widowmaker and the Nutcracker Mk. II Stickybomb Launcher. Think I made the right choice, but it's tough to say no to that wooden paneling.
