Someone asked me, given a choice between a Christian (Protestant) Theocracy or an Islamic Theocracy, which one I would prefer.

My answer is that I would prefer a Catholic one. There are many reasons.

So what does everyone else think?

From the CIA World Factbook:

Christians 32.79%
Roman Catholics 17.33%
Orthodox 3.51%
Anglicans 1.31%

(I think that given the right circumstances...they would join in with the Pope)
Protestants 5.62%

Muslims 19.6%

So...I'm seeing that if anything...it would go RC.

Dear Big J,

We already live in a Protestant Theocracy. The Pricks conquered the World, didn't they. World War I and World War II was simply a civil war between the Protestant Powers to see who would get control, but there is no doubt about it all being Protestant already.

Which points to Protestantisms big problem -- it has no moral compass. With Protestants believing in Salvation by Faith alone apart from works of Righteousness, they essentially abandoned morality and ethics. they don't take any sacraments seriously. They have no sense for penance.

Catholics at least believe that the Wrath of God will strike the World because of the collective Sins of Society, which is a great incentive for establishing a Just Society which won't piss off God. But the Prots don't believe anything except Predestination -- that is that God shows whom he favors by letting them exploit those whom he doesn't favor (Calvinism) -- those who own the Nike Factories deserve to get rich, and those who work for sixteen hours a day for a dollar are just lucky they aren't already in burning in hell where they are predestined to go anyway, because if God didn't already hate them then why would he be letting them work in such a shitty factory -- that is how Prots think.

At least the Catholics see that Social Injustice would eventually rebound in God's Wrath. It would be a Government with a hint of a conscience.

Islam, really, would not be so bad. They have a sense of Righteousness and Penance. As I said in my Post on Ecumenicalism -- if I could have any wish, I would wish the Muslims would be Catholics. Heck, just add the Holy Sacrament to the rest of their riggamorole (turn a blind eye to their praying to mecca five times a day). The silly ragheads -- they denounce Catholics for worshipping a Man as God and then bow down to a town, and visit a big black rock as a sacred duty. It is an Arabic Thing. I think that what happened in the Sixth Century was that the Greek Orthodox Church was shoving Greek Culture in the Face of the Camel Jockeys in Arabia who didn't want to hear it, and so when Mohomet offered them a Heresy in their own Language, which gave them an excuse to plunder a collapsing empire -- they grabbed it. Now they still have an Arabic Culture which their Religion supports and they fear they could not adopt another Religion without coming in as a neglected minority. They have a point so far in This Protestant World -- what they call the Global Economy. George W is has clearly declared war against them all, and even though he hasn't been able to digest Afghanistan, let alone Iraq, he is already planning to invade Syria and Iran. I wish the Catholic Church could figure out a way of accomodating Islam so that we could form an Alliance against the Protestant Powers. Islam needs it for Survival, and the Catholics need it because it would be the Right Thing to do.
 
watch the language Leo, I don't appreciate being called a prick on my own boards. You are a guest here I am not calling you and your faith any names I'd expect the same courtesy back. Besides aren't you suppoe to be a good representative for your church. I see bitterness and no love.

The Holocaust

In 1942 Germany took a gamble. They diverted all European resources to a renewed offensive against Russia which was to end the War in six months.  They diverted all agricultural employees either into uniform or to the arms industries.  The gamble did not pay off.  Everyone in that offensive was killed, wounded or captured, or kept in the field for another couple of years. Europe was left with only a limited surplus of food.  America and Britain understood that the European Continent would starve but maintained a blockade that even excluded relief supplies for the starving.

So, you ask about the Holocaust.  For three years Germany was miraculously able to feed these camps when technically there was NO FOOD available from the middle of 1943.  

Of course millions of people died.  Churchill and Roosevelt starved the Continent!  And they made a deal with the Jewish Bankers -- if they blamed it on the Germans then the League of Nations would guarantee a Jewish State of Israel.

yes, there was a Holocaust, all right, but I wouldn't believe a word about who really killed those people.
 
Leo you are the most insanely blind sided RC that i have ever seen, you infact make me laugh in these dark times. you are an utter moron if you think that Protestants believe in Pre-destination. Infact most protestants like most Catholics have no idea about what they truely believe just what that little child molesting priest, or there preacher will tell them. Calvinism is so highly debated even at a quote "semanary" school. Leo i would be willing to go out on a limb and say that you have no true idea of what you talk about you just rant and rave what that priest tells you to do, and then you feel good about your self, disclaimare My dads family is catholic, i love them, with that said. Most catholics are pretty messed up you want to talk about a present day pharaisee(SP) lets just take a look at our Catholic friends here that observe cerimony as the sole point in a service. Lets pray to a saint so that they may intercede for us, not a bad idea, nothing unBiblical about it either, but then again you do worship marry thinking she stayed a virgin her whole life, ummm nope sorry i dont think that Joe would of let that fly. SO when you get back from your mass watching your priest get drunk try to say something half intelligent
 
Leo go read Mien Kempf you sick son Hitler hated jews because in his mind they had ruined his home land of Germany by signing the treaty of Versilles, and that Jews where on the art board and they didnt accept him, also he stayed with a jewish person that kicked him out for no reason.

Yeah its all those stupid protestants fault this world is going to hell, or maybe it was the catholic church that messed it up with all its dumb traditions and not following the world for what it is and adding/taking away from it to make them selves feel better, you wonder why people hate Christians look at our founders the Catholics.

Yeah maybe i should spell it out for you. your Catholism isnt far from Jedism, with all your cerimony, and that is what the messiah came to abolish that cerimony can save your little self, and not faith.

yeah, I read Mein Kempf.  Jesus hated the Jews. Everyone hated the Jews.  That is what I just got done saying.  Roosevelt and Churchill refused to see delegations from Germany begging to surrender because they didn't want it to be over until every Jew in the Camps starved to death.   They had to order Patton to slow down the Third Army or they would get to the camps too soon.  The Russians waited on the other side of the Elbe river because they heard there were still people who hadn't starved to death yet.  The only reason anyone was left alive was that the American English Alliance didn't trust the Russians and so they made a race for Berlin.  The Army Commanders had given orders to skirt around the Camps as though they had to fight actual pockets of resistance, but the Field Commanders finding themselves without a fight went and 'liberated' the camps on their own authority, when if they had listened to their higher ups, there would not have been anybody left alive to liberate -- they all would have starved as planned. Hitler, Roosevelt, Churchill were all on the same page.  

So.  Don't just blame the Germans.  They were all in on it.

Where is that quote from. Who said that Jesus hated the Jews. Paul hated the Jews and that is where the institutionalization of anti-semitism in the Church has come from. I would personally wish to decanonize Paul and take the Church back to Jerusalem and instal a Jewish Pope into the Chair of Peter who had been Jewish.

So, it wasn't me. Jews aren't my favorite people. Muslims are. They are very moral and very Religious. But Jesus was a Jew and ALL CHRISTIANS SHOULD BE JEWISH (or at least officially apply for membership).
 
Jesus was jewish so he cant hate himself. Granted the jews whacked our savior but I'm not bitter.

You have to remember that the World Economy is worth some 100 Trillion Dollars. The People who control that money aren't going to leave ANYTHING to chance. So they snip cut and tailor everything you see, hear, touch or feel -- as far as the Media is concerned. Just look at anything with a critical attitude for five whole seconds without relapsing into your usual comotose stupidity and you would understand what I mean. Read Orwell, again. Underneath all of Orwell is the underlying premise that 99% of everybody is retarded, and the other 1% is taking advantage of it. He was right.

You know it isn't quite that simple.

yes I am for giving the Catholic Church back to the Jews -- end this 'Roman' Catholic Church thing and call it just the Catholic Church and move it to the Religious Capital of the World -- Jerusalem.

But when the Jews rejected their Own Promised One and had him murdered, it set in motion a horrible chain of retributive Karma. The Holocaust was the final payment of their Penance, and the Jews are now ready for Redemption. Acting like Nazis themselves with the Palestinians is not helping, but maybe the Palestinians have karma of their own they are paying off. Anyway, the suffering the Palestinians are enduring is certainly a downpayment for a huge Divine Intervention for them. I still don't know how it will play out, but the Palestinians in Jerusalem will host the New Catholic Church and the Jews will come over to it. And there will be Peace on Earth -- after the Catholic Jewish Islamic Alliance has a bloodbath and kills every protestant.
