Team Fortress 2 Pyro Update Week

The main event of the week is the Pyro Update, which will be made available this Thursday and contains three unlockable new weapons for the Pyro plus 35 new achievements. In addition, two user-created maps are included to highlight the great work being done in the community and distribute those works to all TF2 players.

Meanwhile as folks wait for the Pyro Update to be released, the latest in the "Meet the Team" video shorts, "Meet the Sniper," will be made available tomorrow (Tuesday, June 17) at 11 am PDT along with a web site dedicated to the Pyro update.

Finally, to give everyone a chance to try the new weapons and community maps, Valve will hold another Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend via Steam, a leading online platform for the delivery and management of PC games. The Free Weekend is scheduled to begin this Friday at 11 am PDT.

W00t! I suggest some of you non-TF2'ers give it a try on the toj server, huh? :P
 
They put out a couple custom maps with it O.o! I just wonder which ones were chosen. While I have seen some decent ones I haven't seen any on Valve's official level. I've got to finish my map fast!... if I can quit playing TF2 long enough that is :p

I never said I would be playing the update, just informing the community is all. :P
 
<becuase you where asking for it :p> Oh, Oh, I get it you are just providing a community service like helping old ladies across the street or picking up garbage. You selfless do good'er! Surfing the net looking for info for your Toj chums when you have no inclination to be playing the game yourself. Folks I say we nomintate Keeko for a Toj award of merit for his noble act of friendship! Surely this paragon of virtue should inspire us to play more TF2 even though it's a boring tedious task it's for the good of all and must be done! </hehe I think my backstabing is crossing over to the fourms O.o :p>

ANYWAYS...back on topic...

If there are any ToJers out there who haven't tried out TF2 and have wanted to, this weekend would be the time to do so! Follow the instructions on the site (install steam, create an account, load up TF2), and join us this evening 7 or 8pm EST to try out the new maps and weapons.

We may also have another game night on Sunday evening as well, so if you miss this friday, not to worries. :)
