Tonight I would like to do some trapping in PvP and/or the Zaishen Callenge (and Elite). If you don't have the Zaishen Elite Challenge unlocked yet, 3 trappers should be able to do it in about 10 minutes for you. one2dredd and I have done this a few times in the last couple of nights. I don't think it will ever get old watching the AI IWAY team obliterated in the time it takes them to run from their base to ours.
For those of you not familliar with the recently added Zaishen Challenges, you need to unlock them to your account (it is account, not character based according to guildwiki.org). The first step is to exit from the Great Temple of Balthazaar and talk to the Master of Paths to go to the Practice Arenas. Once you have beaten all 4 match types (annihilation, obelisk, priest and kill count) you will unlock the Zaishen Challenge.
The Zaishen Challenge is another practice arena where your team (4 players) can select which arena map to play and which opposing build to fight. The AI opponents include IWAY, Illusionary Weaponry Mesmers, Obsidian Spikers, Degeneration, Smiting Monks and Victory is Mine Trappers. Once you have beaten 5 of the 6 of these teams, you unlock the Zaishen Elite Challenge.
The Zaishen Elite Challenge is similar to the non-elite version, except that you no longer choose the map or the opponent, you don't return to the outpost after 1 match/win and each subsequent match after a win is followed by a stronger and often larger opposing team.
Anyway, if anyone needs one or both of the Zaishen challenge maps unlocked, I would be happy to help trap your way there tonight I will be on at around 9pm eastern. Playing aginst real people requires slightly different tactics. If there are other trappers willing to play tonight, I would like to go to the team arena and try out an all trapper build.
My trapping build includes the warrior elite "Victory is Mine!" This was inspired by the Zaishen opposing team. This is a very effective heal after trapping a few opponents and causing a few conditions. From my experience in team arenas, the best tactic against live players is to all trap the same opponent at the same time so that they can't interrupt all at once.
