Don't get too disheartened by appearances when you're sincerely doing your best to live well and serve the Lord. True honor comes from what you do with what you've got to take care of yourself and your responsibilities and spread God's love further in the world, not from how you look compared to others in the process. The Lord knows well how to see past appearances, even if people always don't.
