What to do if theres a problem on the server

Some of you have asked about admins not being around when theres troublmakers in the server. The issue is that no matter how many admins we have we simpily cannot always have an eye in the server. So if you see some things that should not be allowed and an admin is not present in the game, heres what you need to do:

1) If you haven't asked them already, please ask the offender(s) to stop what they are doing.

2) Contact an admin. The easiest way to do this is if you have AOL instant messenger, add "tojcsadmins" to your buddy list. For instructions on how to use it, see this post.

3) If no admins show up (in extreemly unlikely chances) gather your own information. First off, record a demo. pull down your console ( ` key) and type

and it will record untill you type "STOP" or just exit the game.
You can acess your demo files in your SteamApps folder.
From there, make sure to get their Steam ID. To do this, simply pull down the console ( ` key) and type

Look for their name, and copy their Steam ID down, or take a screenshot of your console after you used the status command.(F5 by default)

So once again, get:
a) a recorded demo of them in the act.
b) a screenshot of their Steam ID

and send it to elite@toj.cc
From there the admin team will take this evidence and make sure those people never return to the server again.
Failure to get both of these things will result in no action, so PLEASE remember to get both!

Hint: When you make a demo, make sure its not long, cause a 30 min demo is almost 22.1 MB, and some e-mail companies (like yahoo) dont have enough space to attach it/mail it.

Get at least 5 rounds in, and if you really want to be smart about it don't make any accusations or say anything about it. That way you can truly get a demo of the person without them being privy to it and they end up leaving or turning their hacks off.

.dem files really zip nicely. if you have a 23 meg demo, usually you can get that down to about 2,3,4 meg so that way you wont have to worry about file size restrictions on your e-mail provider.

You can make them as long as you think you need, just remember to zip them up before you send any demos. It makes it easier on both parties.
