dude, basses totally pwn the bongos.
and bass guitar is usually what is being referred to.
although, the Double Bass owns all.

my dream is to get a Double Bass.
 
i tried double bass once, but due to sorry condition of the bass, quickly lost interest. i guess if i had a decent instrument to practice on, i'd be more inclined to continue, but with no group to play with, it's not really worth it.
