A thought came to my mind about loneliness,
do you agree that if I believe that it's God's will
for me to be sad and lonely all my life then I
don't truly believe that God loves me even
though the Bible says that God loves me?

one thing we have to remember as humans and with our relationship with christ is that we cant rely on emotions to guide us. emotions are to flimsy and can go high or low due to the day, food, weather, computers, news, etc. But yes i do beleive God is with us no matter what.

My first question would be why you think God's will would be for you to be sad and lonely? We are able to live victorious in Him!

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37

The verses are endless, He has more for us than we can ever ask or think; we are written in His hands; He sings and rejoices over us!!!

Your post really touched my heart and I will be praying for you. About this time last year it seemed everything that could go wrong did in my life! I feel a bit ashamed of doing so now, but I prayed and asked God to not only show me that He loves me, but teach me how I can love Him in the manner in which He deserves. I wish I could tell you from there I was walking daisy strewn paths, but it ain't so! However, I did learn much. God showed me His provision in some of the most amazing ways. So many times they brought me to my knees. For me, learning how much He loves me also in turn, had me in more fellowship with Him.

I think our trials come for many reasons. The trying of our faith worketh patience which makes us perfect and entire. In addition, I think we sometimes go through the wilderness to not only learn to rely on God, but to learn how to study His Word and fellowship with Him more closely. Also, it is times like those that reminds me that God created me for fellowship with Him and that lonely feeling is what He feels when I am not drawing close to Him. Truly the enemy, rather that be of our Spirit, or simply our lazy flesh will keep us from drawing close to God. Atown is so right. Our feelings, emotions, and circumstances can get in the way of not only getting close to God, but feeling Him near. That is when it is most important to stand on the promises! Always believe what He says, regardless of how you may feel or how dark the path seems. A dear, most precious friend reminded me on a trying day to look at the LORD, not the stormy sea! We can walk on water, my friend!!!

Many times I want to search out Gods will. I promise, He loves us more than we can ever comprehend and He wants all the best for us. Romans 8:28 tells us it will work out for our good, but sometimes the process can be painful! Gods first will for us is to praise Him and give thanks in everything.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. I Thessalonians 5:18

As we do the things we know to do, He will step us through the bigger picture of His will in our lives.

I cannot encourage you enough to pray through this trial and ask the LORD to show you His Love. I pray that you will then begin to see His showers of blessing.

There is a preaching series on Victory at this site you may enjoy. It is rotated so the first one will be taken off the site next week. However, it is wonderful preaching no matter what they have posted for your listening pleasure and you can always purchase old sermons.

1 Corinthians 15:57
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow'r revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't
To me the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

First of all, very nice free verse poetry. d--(<_<)--b (Kirby thumbs up)

Caleb, I don't believe it's God's will for anyone to be sad and lonely. There are times in my life when I feel lonely, and I'm married with a 2 year old boy who adores me. I am incredibly blessed... and yet sometimes I DO feel lonely. I only have one explanation for the phenomenon-- the Adversary.

There are times in my life when I can't hear God's voice, but that doesn't mean He's not there. He is always there, always listening, but sometimes the sin in our lives prevents us from hearing His voice. That temptation to sin comes from the Adversary.

There were times in my life when, before I heard God's calling, before I knew to listen for it, that I tried to fill that void in my soul with friends, romantic relationships, alcohol, pornography, almost anything. You know who kept me from hearing God's voice telling me to fill that void with Him? The Adversary.

I will pray for your lonliness Caleb. Know that God sent His Son so that you could live life abundantly, and with freedom. He wants the best for you, and Satan wants to destroy what God has done. I know this sounds obvious, but have you talked to an elder about this? Either your parents or your pastor?

To answer your question, no, feeling that God wants you to be lonely doesn't mean that you're not saved. It means that you are under attack from the Adversary and need prayer. ;)

Sadness comes to all of us at one point or another but joy comes in the morning. The joy of the Lord is our strength. We are the righteousness of God in Christ our Lord and we are now eternal through Jesus Christ our savior. Focus on Jesus and remember His way, not our way is the only Way.
