Hi Guys,
I'm trying to know what you guys listen to.
This could be a good discussion too...
So.. list your favorite artists and songs here! :)

Being an audiophile, this is terribly hard for me to answer. There are only two common threads I can think of throughout most music I like. Slow or changing tempo and a strong bass line. Any specific genre your looking for?

Some songs I could probably listen to forever (Sorry if it's too long)...

  • Anyone w/ bagpipes - Scotland the Brave
  • Anyone w/ bagpipes - Amazing Grace
  • Josh Turner - Long Black Train
  • Smashing Pumpkins - By Starlight
  • Jethro Tull - Broadsword
  • Blue Foundation - Little By Little
  • Blue Foundation - Shine
  • Alicia Keys - Unthinkable (I'm Ready)
  • Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
  • H320 - I Will Not Bow
  • Alan Jackson - Red Like A Rose
  • and many, many more...

I listen to a variety of stuff though I intentionally try to not listen country music; which is hard because my wife loves country music. I like listening to the following artists:

Linken Park
Evanescence
DJ Tiesto
Armin Van Buren
Chris Tomlin
Switchfoot
and DI.FM is a site i go to listen to trance and vocal trance

Edit: I had to look up what an audiophile was Chuck. "a person who has a great interest in high-fidelity sound reproduction" ~ is that right?

Yep, that about sums it up. I'm pretty sure not many people love 'watching' music through a Spectrum Analyzer, but I do lol.
I think it is so awesome how God gives various talents and interests to all aspects of any given subject. Just as Tina is consumed with the singing/vocal side of music (assuming), I'd be more on the mastering, mixing side and reproduction of music. Truly a many membered body in everything we do!

Ah I forgot to put my list...
Here it is!
Skillet - Rebirthing
Skillet - Comatose
Skillet - Live Free or Let Me Die
Skillet - Collide
Skillet - Hero
Skillet - Awake and Alive
Skillet - Dead Inside
Decyfer Down - Crash
Decyfer Down - Best I Can
Decyfer Down - Forever With You
Red - Breathe Into Me
Red - Death of Me

Hillsong (Most of the songs)
Kutless

Rich Mullins (My fave Song Writer)
Smalltown Poets
Superchick
Skillet.... and there are many more lol

I like dredd's list :)

I pretty much listen to whatever wayfm.com is playing. I used to like country but most of the song themes seem to involve alcohol.

I love bagpipe music. We have a local drum and bagpipe band called the Pikes Peak Highlanders that come out to my church once a year and there's a small California group called Wicked Tinkers.

I am familiar with the Wicked Tinkers, enjoy their music. :)
Know of Jim Brannigan? I Love "Peter Kagan & The Wind"

Skillet is from Canada? I didn't know that.
Is that why they talk in slightly different accents?

What songs are good for Relient K?

Has anyone heard of a band called Deciple?

Skillet is from Canada? I didn't know that.

We don't have accents - everyone else does :p But because they are Canadian, they live in an igloo and have pet penguins.

I thought Skillet is from Chattanooga, Tennessee...

Anyway, it's my favorite band!
Rebirthing is my all time favorite song

nice song...
I will check Manafest out some time

I'm currently looking to gain more areas into Christian rock/metal/pop music

There are very few bands that I like. I'm mostly on a per song bases with most of them. An I am so thankful for the buy per track music revolution.
I like Classical/symphonic metal and real worship.

Bands that I do like -
Skillet
Jason Upton

Dear X, is definitely one of my favorites. Wish the rest of the album held that level.

Since Christmas is coming I would like to share O come emmanuel as it was intended to be played. Well.... if they were able to hear it, they would have intended it this way. :D O Come O Come Emmanuel

On a different note:
If anyone wants to listen to ummm....... inspirational(?) compilations for walking with God. check here -> Fireonthealtar

A few highlights and strongly recommended -
The Forth man
Beatitudes live (only a song but awesome)
Crowns
Heavenly Visitation
The Revival Hymn (Long but worth it)
You go and Preach it

There is a lot there, and some of it is "meh". But it's worth the time to find the gems.
