Lag!

rgr that as well as the problems connecting i did get a lot of lag spikes playing office just now.
 
Yeah, it was bad yesterday (or was it the day before). But 99.9999% of the time, the lag is excellent for most people.

Guys, try changing your update and command rates to around 30-40, if you have cable or DSL. I also changed my 'rate' to 9000. This helped me a lot and I don't have loss or choke or lag anymore.
 
I dont suppose somone could post a comprehensive report on the commands you can use to tweak your connection and reduce lag. Being in the Uk i used to spend ages sorting quake3 out to ping like a beast. I only mess with rate on CS but im sure there are other commands i dunno.
 
Guys, I have a question.

I've been getting massive lag too, but for some reason the past week my ping (on any server) has been 400+. Any idea what's going on??
