Prayer for my wife

My wife has been suffering from abdominal pains for several months. Repeated medi clinic and family doctors visits have gotten her a few ultrasounds and some blood tests which are all inconclusive. She was in extreme pain last night and took herself into the Emergency ward. We finally had a doctor that seemed more interested in solving the problem than brushing her off to some queue or specialist.

She got a bit more run around today after yet another ultrasound when they sent her home and told her this was not an emergency issue. She is now back at the other hospital she was at last night and is waiting patiently to actually talk to the specialist.

Please pray for answers. Prayers were answered last night in meeting up with a good doctor, now we need some more of God's hands in this to get this problem into the light.

Praying for healing for your wife and wisdom for you. I know it would take nothing short of the influence of the Holy Spirit for me not to reach across the counter if anyone brushed my wife off while she was in serious pain.

We are praying for you both. :)

Thanks. The doctors continue to give her a bit of a run around but at least now they are exploring ideas on what it might be.

Oh, I have been going through that with my wife over the past two years. I know how aggravating and frustrating it is. I will be praying that God will guide and direct you as well as provide healing and answers.

Update. They have gone full circle from gall bladder to stomach to some other thing, and back to "you need to see a gastro-intestinal specialist" which was where we were when I first posted this. So frustrated with the medical system here in BC. Free healthcare is all nice, but it means the resources aren't there for enough doctors and it leaves us in a situation where you are just another body they need to move through as quickly as possible to get their quota.

Sorry to hear that...still praying.

Sounds like what my wife went through for a couple of years until we discovered she was allergic to gluten. It took two weeks of being gluten free to see marked improvement. Two months to see all the pain gone. Fifty-seven years of gut problems went away.

Exactly the same here. We have been working on going gluten free for a little over a month now, but she has shown improvement already. It's interesting how we are now finding more and more people who are gluten intolerant. BTW, did your wife have her gall bladder removed? Mine did in her twenties.

No she hasn't. It might be something that happens if we ever stop the merry-go-round and get back to talking to a solid doctor again hehe.

Update: She has been feeling better (or has been tolerating it). Hopefully this continues and hopefully we can still get to see a specialist sooner than later.
