I'm aware the Battlefield Bad Company 2 server is offline as of 8:30 p.m. Central on Friday, April 8. I called Art of War Central tech support and also submitted an online support ticket regarding the issue. The support representative I spoke with said AoWC is performing system upgrades and there are some ongoing issues at the Chicago site. I've included a request for a partial refund in the online support ticket.
