Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Leviticus 19:18 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
18 Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.
What a tall command this seems like at times because we have heard so often variants on the phrase, "Don't get mad, get even!". Although here we can clearly see that is not God's way, and if it is not God's way that should not be His peoples way. He is God so demands, yes demands, that we love those around us, even if they offend, or misuse us. Always. Always offering that love and forgiveness means freeing us from the burdens of hate and bitterness. Always. In God's love.

Dear God grant us the ability to love those around us, and carry no thirst for revenge, or harbor destructive grudges. In your Son's Name Amen.
