Is it wrong to ask for something you don't deserve? With a past like mine, is it a sin to be alive? The latter was asked by a Jeffrey Dahmer, a mass-murder who did terrible things, but we don't hold a brother's past against him when the Lord has completely forgiven and accepted.
We completely rely on God's character, His mercy and love, and not our own works. So there isn't time to be regretting with what was behind when gratitude flows.
