This is a PCI EXPRESS model and not an AGP model.
That rules it out for me. :(
Thanks for the information all the same though, I'm sure many others will find this useful (and if anyone tries the mod, tell me how it performs).

Ok James how about this one. 198.00 Ati 256MB 9800 Pro.
I have the 9800XT and it's an awesome card.

For 10.00 more you can get overnight shipping FedEX. I've ordered stuff from Ecost with no problems. :)

Here is a cheaper vid card. ATI 9550 256MB AGP .
Buy.com has it for 93.00 with ground shipping free.

newegg for teh win! Anyway, that first one sounds like a great deal, but I think the next card I'm going to go with will be an nvidia card because of the better linux support (and I've just heard that their new cards are better overall than ATI's). I wonder if there are any softmods for nvidia's 6*** cards.

That was me thinking about the video card, in prep for UT2007. Thanks for the tip, but with the exchange rate (even if our Canuck $ is a little higher these days) and shipping, probably cheaper to buy local. Might do a full computer upgrade at that point as well, we'll see.

Gracias!

PS - sorry for not being around guys; work is insanely busy and home wireless connection through the landlord has been up and down all week. :p
