1 Peter 3:14 (NIV)

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

Building on the idea of yesterday... do not fear the threats of those in the world. We are promised that God will go before us and be our shield. As we read the Gospels and Acts, we see time and again that Jesus' followers face difficult times and decisions, yet the reward is worth the risk.

Peter was one of Jesus' earliest followers, and Paul one of the most active. Between the two of them, they faced significant adversities. Yet they learned to trust Jesus and did not fear what man could say or do against them.

What do you fear? What is it that you think God cannot handle in your life? What is keeping you from trusting God? Where are you listening to man (society) instead of God?

Great verse today - it is easy to fall into fear - not so easy to crawl out of fear. Trust and defeat fear from the beginning. Thanks.
