Jeremiah was tired of taking flak for being God's representative among the people. He decided he'd just stop speaking up. People didn't want to hear it anyway. But when he tried - he just couldn't. When he held the words in - he felt like he was going to pop - or explode might be better.
When we are God's - it may be a pain to be His - but it is more of a pain to pretend we are not.
