Zorin OS

It's been years, but yes, I've tried it. I remember it being pretty solid.

I've used Linux Mint more recently and I really like it.

EDIT: If Zorin OS has a Live CD, you could always try both distros without having to install either on a hard drive and find out which you like better. :)

I have Ubuntu, Mint, Kubuntu and Zorin running as virtual machines in vmware player to test them out. I have a laptop laying around that I want to run linux on.

I like the cinnamon destop. My two main beefs with Mint are the software center is kinda cheesy, and you cant upgrade to new realeases automatically. You have to manually edit repositories.

I like Ubuntu, not a big fan of the Unity desktop though.

Zorin is OK, not sure about it yet though.

Not a fan of Kubuntu interface.

I have only tried the LTS versons of each, not the latest.

Zorin seems to have the the same issue I have with Mint. You cant upgrade to new releases automatically.

I have however tested out UbuntuGNOME. I like the interface, I think I will do a full install of it for my first linux computer.
