Raids after BC release

I am just curious concerning current raids after the BC release. Indications are that quest rewards will start matching T1 & T2 gear within a few levels (62-64). So, I am wondering how this will affect current raiding. Some raids are important for high 50s questing (BRD, L/UBRS) but is it worth continuing in ZG instead of investing time into levelling?

Curious.

To be honest, I see all of the now 20 man instances and 10 man instances becoming obsolete. Reason being? When we get to the level to do Scholo and ZG, etc, we will still be leveling up with new quests in the new areas. The only reason to do quests/reputation in the current areas are if you're bored. Either that, or they add new items for reputation. Think of it this way, why take the time to get exalted with CC for an uber mace when you can get about the same stuff from trash mobs at level 65-67 in a new dungeon?

While I have not come out and said it before, I plan on dropping raiding once the expansion comes out. I will devote all my time to leveling. I am hoping to find others who are interested but that is my intention. I will be respeccing BM/MM for it as well.

I completely agree here, sad as it may be. There will become a new meaning for "end game content" and it won't be BWL or AQ40 any more. I want to be up to lvl 70 with Reasonable. The grind to 70 is going to take a while though since I have school and work.

I think the question about continuing ZG on Friday nights is a very good question. I love doing smaller instances but getting together on Friday nights as a guild to do ZG is alot of fun. I would think the enchants you can get out of ZG are still going to be desirable for some so there might still be a desire to run ZG. At the same time there will be new 20-25 man instances that we might want to replace our Friday night runs with but probably not until we are a few levels into the 60's.

I think the journey from 60-70 is going to be pretty different from 1-60 as the number of instances in the level ranges may make people want to run them more, especially those of us who do not do the current 40 man instances and get T1 and T2 equipment. I am hearing that Naxx gear should be lasting people to 65ish so I know I will need to run the new instances and problably some current instances to get myself geared just for the leveling to 70.

My BC plans: (includes advice given to me by beta pplz)

Start arena teams... 2v2 3v3 5v5 as soon as possible. Time to do some de_Dustwallow!!

Go level to about 65.

Get a group together for Naxx runs to get full tier3 or close.

Beat around in BC.

As for what I'll be doing by level 70, I don't know. Or care right now... I think the game will be SO different that we'll just have to see how it looks when we get there.

the thing to keep in mind... there have been hints that Blizz is planning to make it so that leveling from 60 to 70 will take at least as long as it did to get from 1 to 60... so that's a pretty significant amount of time we'll be spending questing, instancing, etc.

Tinie will be leveling. However, there will be 25 man raids in TBC, and continuing on with ZG only helps us learn how to work together and get our groove on as a raiding team. I don't think it will hurt us to continue to do Zg until TBC comes out. After that, we might want to look at the raids in TBC:) Lots of 5 man stuff in TBC to do also, along with solo quests, and PvP stuff. We will have plenty to do:) I am soooo excited:)

Here is what my understanding, The gear we get now will help us survive the first couple of levels of TBC just like gear we got in VC helped us for a few levels. I plan on surviving in TBC so needless to say I still want to do the current end game content.

Now as the raid leader, here is my opinion on the Friday night runs. We will continue to do ZG/AQ20 on Friday nights. It has been stated by Blizz that instances will be scalable and better items will drop. Now I do not plan on doing L60 instances forever. Once we have a sufficient number of characters at the next instance level I will probably switch over to that one. I am depending on our pair of eyes in TBC Beta to start taking notes on instances there. As Tinie said ZG/AQ20 is only going to help us with our team work more and will strengthen our little happy raiding group.

I too plan on leveling and getting better gear. Being new to the guild and with 2 of my 3 60's here I imagine I will be leveling a bunch...lol.... I will probably start out with my rogue since The Forgiven seems to have a lot of mages... I can't wait to run new instances whether its 5 man or 25 man... learning new stuff is fun!!!!
