Taking it back to the old school: Starcraft bots

I have some of the original winters bots i used and Topaz Chat bot, and some others I think... Ultimate bot was one of them... I probably have it laying around here in backups somewhere. ;)

its a program that simulates human interaction. in this case it is probably a computer opponent simulation.
For most games, yes, that's what a bot is, but in this case, it's for Battle.net channel management.
 
want to try my suggestion tek or try something else?
GNBot? Eh...I was hoping for a bot that's easier to configure.

Also, SirThom volunteered to run a bot on a spare Windows box at his home. Since the bot requires barely any bandwidth or processing power, it should be a good fit.

Woops, that came out the wrong way.

I meant that old hardware should be able to handle running a bot process without any problems. :)

Except that it needs a computer, actively on-line. Even that the bot doesn't use bandwidth and power, it would need the computer's power and its internet connection.

Though, the bot doesn't need to be on-line 24/7.
