WoW+Xbox360 = Lazy pwnage

i am questionable at how well it would work, since if play anything besides a rogue, you will need to cast a large variety of spells or skills thus how do you actually pick your spell or skills without a number key (i.e. 1, 2, 3...) or fast clicking? if you used the game control similar to a mouse... you would just have to have resonable high sensitivity to move around, pick enemies, and pick spells... really fast... and accurately.

You would be so limited in what you could do with a controller.

And you'd have to type stuff to people anyway.

But on another note, my friend recently got his Wii remote to work on his laptop, kinda cool considering how cool the Wii remote is > to the Xbox's remote!

That i s another good point.

I love my 360 controller....I wouldn't play wow with it.

This might work pretty well depending on how programmable it is. Depending on what you can program, there are essentially at least 20 commands that could be programmed to the controller.

Left, LB, Right, RB, X, Y, A, B, the two analog sticks press in, and you have the 4-way d-pad which could be programmed in 8 directions. Finally, you could possibly increase the number of commands by setting button combinations (X + Y, A + B, etc).

I don't know if any of that is possible and I don't care to find out. I mostly play console games because I hated having to constantly upgrade my computer ever 3 months to play the latest game, and I also have found that I prefer to kick back on the couch to play games rather than sit at a computer desk. I spend my day sitting at a computer. The last thing I want to do is to come home and sit at the desk some more.

WoW is the exception because I can play it (and anything else from Blizzard) on my Macbook (Hybrid games FTW!) With WoW, I can't imagine not just using the keyboard/mouse. Then again, I always said that I preferred keyboard/mouse for FPS games, and the 360 controller has proven to be an good close replacement (not perfect because keyboard/mouse still proves to be faster & more accurate, but I'd call it a close second.)

I removed WoW from my PC after I got my Macbook, but I might download Switchblade just to see what options it has. If nothing else, I can always just put Windows back on my Macbook. That'd be faster than reinstalling WoW on my PC. lol

OK, I read this earlier and said to myself "this is hair brain, why and how would you even bother trying this..." Then I read this article and decided that if I am grinding somewhere casually this might not be so bad. Might work well for casual solo play, groups or raids maybe a whole different story. Any way I may try this out later to see how it works.

Cool, that article answers my questions about programability. :)

I agree, it might be nice for solo grinding, but there's no way I would use it in an instance.

yeah solo grinding, prof grinding, etc would be perfect for it. shoot even running VC would be fun with it

It takes time to get use to the keyboard but once you do it rocks for playing the game.

that is pretty nice. i still really want a DAS keyboard before anything else personally though. how are the arrow keys? they look pretty big in teh screeny
