If you hit something with a hammer long enough it will fix the issue eventually. For instance a head cold can be solved in this way, you just have to make sure you are hitting yourself hard enough.

Have the same issues. It's not the battery, it's the controller. At least for me, the issue is with the controller.
My controller still works. I have it running with the AA battery pack rather than the rechargeable.

Mine is even more confusing:
Controller works fine with non-rechargable batteries
Controller does not work with any rechargable battery
Rechargable batteries work in other controllers
Controller works with rechargable battery so long as it is plugged into USB port
There should be a logical fallicy there, but that is just the way it works, or doesn't work.

I have a friend that uses rechargeables in his controller and it works fine.
