Computer 1: Old Mac G4

Computer 2: New (1 month old) Macbook

Computer 1 was upgraded to Leopard and used time machine to store multiple gigs of photos.

Computer 2 tried to access the photos, but received an error. "User does not have access."

What to do?

Computer 1 was upgraded to Leopard and used time machine to store multiple gigs of photos.

Explain. Time Machine is not meant for permanent storage. If the total sum of the backups exceeds the limit then it will start deleting old backups.

In attempting to download the photos from Time Machine using computer 2, the error occurs... "User does not have access." The idea here was to use the WD external HD as a means of transferring data. Everything beside the photos were transfered. The hard drive is less than half full.
