Heaven the Game was Released

A review from a religious website stated they add too much sexuality to the main girl. Like a holy barbie. xD

Not a holy barbie... and some reviews I've heard from fellow Christian gamers indicate it's a pretty good game.

That girl... um yeah. Shes no better than any of the other girls in fantasy games out there.

I see a few issues with this... lol.

Just my two cents.

I love how they used john williams music from superman for this

The game doesn't look bad at all. Kind of interesting as it seems more like of a tour and a few puzzle solving than anything else.

so i looked for some reviews. the reviews said it was a pretty good game... but they are probably biased.

My question is, what kind of game is it? The trailer just makes it look like an RPG placed in heaven. WHAT?

has anyone bought it yet?

Ok, after waiting a while for the site to actually load (Not a good thing to keep potential buyers waiting by setting the whole site up in flash...) Here is the synopsis of the game itself.

Heaven PC Game website said:
The story is about a young boy named Joshua, who 20 years later, pilots an experimental shuttle to the moons of Jupiter. Along the way he encounters a deadly asteroid field that nearly destroys his ship - the U.S.S. Genesis. At the moment of his destruction, the Archangel Michael saves him.
Alive and well, Joshua is transported to Heaven! - Where he meets "an old friend".

The "old friend" is actually his grandmother in a glorified body. Her new name is "Axis". With her help you will play through 6 exciting levels of heaven. You will see Paradise Island, The Golden Streets, the New Jerusalem, the Pearly Gate, the Creation Room, and finally a glimpse of the throne room of Jesus Himself!

You will also see the Four living creatures from the book of Revelation, the Archangel Michael, The Elder Kings who sit on the thrones and much more!

I'm not 100% sure where they are going with this. As far as I know, The only people who went to heaven without dying were Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:11). Why would Joshua in this story get to go? And what type of Adventure game is it? I doubt there would be combat as there is nothing to combat I would think... Exploring and puzzle only maybe, but I'm not sure.

The game play video they have is a bit hectic, it shows that the landscape will be beautifully done (That seems to be the main point of the game) however it doesn't show anything of what the game is about! In fact, it gave me a headache from flipping between scenes so fast...

It may be worth keeping an eye on, but I don't think I would buy it right now. I aside from names and such (they claim everything in the game is Biblical) I'm not sure how closely they follow the Bible. Not only that, is there going to be scriptural references inside the game?

This is a wait and see for me.

This game makes me curious for the same reasons eskimo stated above and for other more socially related reasons.

I will be brief...

1) The girl looks way too perfect. I suppose it is heaven and that's the way things work... but not in reality.

2) I read one person's reaction to this game on another website and it really hit me. "Thats an awful lot of white people." I am assuming they watched the trailer. There isn't much of a mystery as to what they meant.

I notice there were animals in the Heaven game.

I thought animals can't go to the actual Heaven.

I don't think those are actual animals. They are supposed to represent some forms of angels I think. (Its in Ezekiel somewhere about the angels with multiple heads and such...)

And as far as there being animals in heaven, I don't think the Bible says anywhere that their won't be, so I honestly cannot answer the question as to whether or not there will actually BE animals in heaven.

My thoughts on animals in heaven: the first time God made a paradise, it had animals in it.
Animals certainly won't be in heaven based on their virtue and merit. But neither will humans.
God might have made animals in his first paradise because he knew that we would need them.
Or he might have made animals in his first paradise because he knew that it wouldn't be paradise without.
