SC2 is still vapor ware. Not to mention he has no possible way to live up to the hype. It shall be epic failure!!!

I'll probably play it, but if it doesn't have any kind of cover system I won't play it long. Company of Heroes and Dawn of War II totally ruined RTS games for me. I do wish CoH and DoW II had voice commands because I have caught myself telling the units to "Get into cover!", "They're pinned, flank right!", "Retreaaaaaaat!"

It can be frustrating at times, even the messy way-points of the driving vehicles.

I tell it to fall back while going backwards and it has the nerve to turn around, expose itself from the back and drive off. -_-

But CoH is a good WWII RTS game. I own all 3 of CoH.

Have you play Starcraft, Elader Arkon?

The fact, Blizzard's games have no such "covering system" other than Terrain and Object coverage.

Starcraft 2 is no different, except vision difficulties.

On the Tenth day of Christmas, Blizzard gave to me,
10 Ultralisks.
9 Battlecruisers.
8 Archons Burning.
7 Zerglings Swarming.
6 Zealots Fighting.
5 NEWBORN QUEENS.
4 Hydralisks.
3 Marines.
2 Terran Wraiths.
And a BRAND NEW SCV.

Played SC? I played the daylights out of that game. I also played the daylights out of the C&C series. Never got much into the Age of Empires games though, because one thing I've never liked about the genre was base building. I feel if I want to build something like that, I'll go play the Civilization series (which I do play, and rather enjoy). Just gimme my units and lets roll. This probably explains why I tended to suck it up at SC despite my hours played. :o If my rush didn't win me the game or give me significant advantage I was done for. Oddly enough, rushing wasn't used much early on in the Red Alert series (1 & 2), so I managed to rake in quite a few wins in those two games.

But then I found the DoW series. The first being riotously fast paced in comparison to the others (powernode > barracks > fightin' units = serious fighting in the same time it took for a rush in SC to just be getting started.) DoW II came along and the addition of cover/removal of base building literally changed the way I thought about the genre and to some extent games in general (heh, I should post my thoughts on changing combat and AI mechanics in MMOs.). I just recently got into CoH thanks to THQ's wonderful deal earlier, so it hasn't impacted me quite as much yet. Though I do like the much better vehicle movements...
