I'll be around for sure.
I'll be interesting to see how the GW2/MoP interaction plays out. Reminiscent of WAR/WoLK, although even then there was a two-month separation between launches rather than one month. Certainly I'd expect many to postpone a MoP decision until after having tried GW2.
You are correct, sir. My wife oft reminds me of my failures to respond even to non-random texts involving non-emergency household emergencies as well.
However, I am suspicious of Icthus texts if they do not come from properly sauced and grilled TX area codes.
Oh, and on that screenshot it...
So thaaaaaats who texted me with the bears. Man! I was seriously confused...
And apparently power outages are Tradition at these things. Or Icthus and ewoks's fault.
I apologize if there's a live thread or chapter that I've missed here ... but is anyone playing The Secret World? I've been on since this past weekend of early access, and am liking it so far.
What's good:
* MMO that's not in a fantasy-world setting. I, for one, am grateful for a break...
I've been a dedicated PC-platform guy for gaming ever since I had a Mac in college and basically Civilization was the only game available for Macs. However, Apple's coming out with increasingly awesome-looking stuff, so I'm considering making a switch. No small part of even considering such a...
Hardly.
But I just find account hacking to be heartbreaking.
If my WoW account were ever hacked, I'd be so overwrought I'd have to quit gaming for a year. I'm pretty sure it'd be less emotionally damaging to me if my car were stolen. So I just hate to see it happen to other people...
It used to be that you had to authenticate with every single login. Which could be a pain. So recently (6 months ago?) Blizzard added new tech such that if you repeatedly logged in from the same IP address, and authenticated, that you wouldn't have to re-authenticate every time.

To folks who haven't touched Blizzard Games for awhile but are playing D3, one very important rule:
Get an authenticator!

There are three options: mobile app (free), phone method (free but less effective) or physical RSA fob ($6.50)...
Definitely on the shotgun ... even if I was shotgunning the ceiling most of the time due to aforementioned y-invert challenges, it was fun. But the game engine/UI indeed felt really shakey. Having to hunt around to find the right pixel to enable "use" or "pickup" of an object on the ground...
I was also really bummed. Y-axis invert did not work so it was almost unplayable for me. And it felt even more single person story driven than swtor. I will give it more time just because the premise is so intriguing ... But early impressions were a serious letdown.
Ewoks - per the FAQ, I'm pretty sure you can do exactly what you propose. The level-up, faction transfer, and server transfer get linked to your account, but you don't have to "use them" right when you reactivate. There must be some sort of limit on it (to keep people from creating lvl80 Panda...
