what's the order of magnitude? i thought the ut dedicated server could run on a desktop os (a la XP Pro). my simple thinking: if Plank Eye already had the hardware running linux and all he needed was one seat of XP, well that wouldn't be to bad if a few people chipped in.

I got in it last night by myself and piddled around for a little bit.

w00t. I like the new vehicles. (including on the old maps) Just out of curiosity PE, what's needed to get to XP? Is it just the license or are there other issues?

Yeah, that was my first time playing Frag Ops. Man, was I horrible. It has been a long time since I played anything approaching realism. I think my fav mod right now is Alien Swarm. Playing in pickup games can be all over the map in terms of success, as this one really requires you to stick...

I didn't think I would like it either.  It seemed like an old concept.  But once I started playing, I didn't really think about it.

i played with Elihu a couple of nights ago. btw. my nick was getting truncated to [toj.cc]stum so I changed it to [toj.cc]deet.  It seemed apropos for the bug hunt.

I downloaded this last night; it is fun.  It has an overhead perspective.  At first I was a little unsure about the 3rd person perspective.  It helps make it special.  Otherwise, it would have just been another human vs alien FPS. The atmosphere is dark and spooky.  It was fun playing...

I played last night, Sun, with ColdSteel.  Before that I had played quite a few nights without seeing anyone. I have been thinking that Thursday nights might be a consistent night for me.  Anyone?  Anyone? Say start at 9:30 EDT (8:30 CDT).

Ok I installed it.  Also, think I got my mike problem fixed.  Now I just need to hook up with my buds. Two side notes. 1) I tried assigning one key to TS and one to UT's voice.  When I was connected to the TS server I could not use the UT voice.  Anyone else find this to be the case? 2) In TS...
