100 GB HD, 100 dollar price drop, 100 dollar HD-DVD extension for Xbox 360?

GameSpot has a flurry of possible Xbox 360 developments in its rumor control section. In short, the interesting rumors include...

• Xbox 360 Price Drop - 300 dollars for Premiurm Edition and 219 for Core Edition in October
• 100 dollar HD-DVD drive extension (Important Note, the drive will not be used for games)
• Microsoft manufactured 100 GB hard drive
• 50 to 70 dollar Eye Toy knock-off
• Halo 3 in video form at E3, release in March 2007

E3 isn't too far away, it'll be great to see whether or not this stuff is indeed accurate.

You had to guess the price drop was coming. They have to gear it toward Christmas sales. 400 is a bit steep for any console system. I would say they are just following the classic marketing formula that all other systems have followed.
