1st thing, there is a GOOD christian radio station called air1. (one) www.air1.com, if it doesn't work go to google type air1.

I find it kinda amazing but that camp i HAD like a month ago, i am still on fire. lol. amazing... read isiah 40:31... it really is true. one of my friends who went to BayAreaAsianYouthFellowhship says he sees his future in his dreams sometimes...

I have a strange sense of foresight and deja vu. I believe it is some sort of yet undiscovered sub-conscious ability of the human brain.
 
my friend twitches at times and he gets like msgs from God yet he cant remmeber them nor can he do anything bout them. kinda concerned a little bit but yeah. he asked God for prophecy and this is what hes got.
 
I belive humans have a sort of psycic ability, becase myself and a few poepel I know admit they have dreams which later come true exactly in the dream.... I dunno. were all crazy I guess.
 
I get brain glitchs does that count or brain farts i use to get alot of dreams now days i dont but brain farts happen to me alot like going to the bathroom for a spraite

lol i doubt brain farts are actually something...... but yeah he twiches and its kinda like when u dream and u know u dreamed but u cant remember it all kinda thing. he was able to remember one a little while ago. but it really wasnt much. but its wierd cuz we'll be talking or eating and all of a sudden his head twiches and then he keeps eating like nothing happned when im like: DUDE u see anything?

Be very careful that you don't confuse "psychic" with "prophetic." Psychic supposedly uses the power of the human mind to foretell the future. In reality, it draws on demonic forces to do so.

True prophecy, on the other hand, is a gift from God and seen frequently throughout the Bible. Several books of the Old Testament were written by prophets.

Also, true prophecy and visions will NEVER contradict the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God and God will not contradict Himself.

This is a particularly difficult subject and I would recommend visiting with an older, more mature Christian if you are interested in these areas. Prophecy is a very real thing, but be careful that you're not just searching for "voices in your head." If you do, you can be led astray by forces that have nothing to do with God.

Exercise wisdom AND prudence! And if you're desperate to hear from God, go read your Bible.

Im not confusing them... If the images arent directly from God and really are from something Humans have then it is Pyscic and not Prophecy. NOt everything that has to do with humans is demonic.

Of course no prophecy can ever condradict the bible and every soingle prophecy in the bible is 100% dead on.

Oh yeah I hate them voices, most likely one of Satans little puppies! When I ask God something he usually shows it to me in the bible!

Before I reply to this thread, I want to delve more into my background.  I attended a charismatic church for years.  I was part and parcel of all the various charismatic movements that can be found in them.  I practiced laying on of hands, speaking in tongues, the uncontrollable laughter and being slain in the spirit.

I did all these things, until I truly started studying the Word in conjunction with these things and the rest of the Gifts of the Spirit.


Now, I'm currently at work, and do not have access to my notes/verses/etc.  So, if you want more precise relations on what I'm about to say, then PM me, and I'll get back to you.


First thing to remember is that WE control the gifts of the Spirit.  Prophecy, tongues, healing, etc, we control them.  We determine if we wish to use our gifts or not.  Can God give us a gentle "poke" urging us to use them at a specific time, of course!  yet He does not force us to do so.

Another thing, true prophecy teaches.  You can tell the future without it being prophecy, just as you can have prophecy without telling the future.  The thought that prophecy must convey the future, is due to popular usage in today's society, and compounded by the fact the translation from the original languages into English.  

A better way to read/ask for prophecy, is whenever the Bible says prophet, replace that with pastor.  For our pastor's are today's prophets.  The office of the prophet was to train, teach, convey God's will to the people and to warn when the people were straying from God's will.  Does this not sound like your local minister?
 
I have dreams that come true, once I aced my math test because I suddenly remembered the answers from my dream.
That was my cool moment. But lots of times I get a deja vu feeling and can remember things that are happening a few seconds ahead. Its weird.
 
hmmm... i am strongly still on fire from summer ^.^ but i can't really explain how i feel... it makes me sad
