Hope someone can answer some/all of these;

1.) What is a normal temperature for a PC tower?
2.) What is a normal temperature for a CPU?
3.) Is there a good program for checking the temperatures of any/all of these;

* CPU
* GPU
* Case
* Mother Board

I use a program called Motherboard Monitor (MBM 5 is what you google). Very useful for figuring out temps, fan speeds, etc. Case temps should be ~25c, CPU temps should never get higher than 70c or you will start throttling. Average running temp for a P4 3.2 is ~40-45c. Motherboard monitor is good for watching temps. If you think you might have throttling going on (where cpu inputs empty cycles trying to cool itself) download throttlewatch and run it while executing a fairly intensive applicaiton. My current idle temps with 2 case fans, a CPU fan and a chipset fan on mobo is 40c processor and 25c case. Loaded it gets up to about 50c.

speedfan is also a half decent program that i use. and if your useing compaq amds (ive checked out some other ones and most have as bad cooling as mine) which are amd 2600+ your going to be seeing 60C, 40C if your lucky and ur comp aint dusty
