An Introduction

Hello.

I am a little weary of posting here, because body language and tone is not communicated well over the internet. Having said that, however, I want to give a little introduction about myself. I would like to say, though, I apologize for the secrecy. It is necessary because a guild that I have been a lifelong member in since I started MMORPGs has become very disappointing.

So, here is a "small" introduction about me, what I like to see in gaming, and ask if there are any Christian guilds out there able to take me under their wing.

I have so many in game names, but for now I will use a neutral name not well known that I play as my unguilded toon: Skarrlet. I am on Lothar server / Alliance side. I have two level 60s, and a level 42. I guess you can call me a semi-power gamer of sorts. I say semi-power gamer, because I use a lot of my free time (downtime in the evenings) playing.

I have been hurt pretty bad from some people in my current guild. Even someone who calls himself a "Christian" took it upon himself and said some very destructive things. Folks, my attitude here is this: this is a game, it is a place I can be myself, and not have to worry about the different hats and "roles" I have to play in real life. I have a very demanding, publicly visible job. I have a wife in the same guild who had exploratory surgery for suspected cancer; thank goodness it was benign, because she means the world to me. But some members of this guild I currently am in has treated us very poorly; even receiving "holier than thou" posts from people who call themselves "Christians."

Folks, I am someone that is very healthy mentally; in fact, I am even very strict about boundaries. My whole view on MMORPGs is that these are games, they are entertainment; they are for our amusement. I do not expect real life to cross boundaries into a roleplaying atmosphere. This means I do not judge the personality or characteristics of others simply by my online experience with them; and I expect the same to be true of others towards me as well.

Having said all that, my struggle is that I have 2 level 60s and a level 42 on Lothar / Alliance side. I have Molten Core / Onyxia experience since October 2004 - with both my mage and my rogue. I really enjoy the end content part of gaming. However, my struggle is that it would feel like a huge, grueling task to grind out other characters on other servers.

Also, I am used to using voice over services for end game content (ventrilo, teamspeak, etc).

I would be looking for a guild, not necessarily to power level me and hold my hand through. But, one that would be willing to help achieve this goal of getting into high end content.

What can I offer? Well, I have experience in the end game content; I know two classes inside and out - what is effective for PvE and for PvP; and I do bring a light-hearted, fun atmosphere to the gaming experience.

I really don't want to get more personal into who I am, because my past experience has taught me "never let them know anything that can be used against you."

So, I don't know if you would want a level 1 to tag along in one of your guilds, but since I am looking for an end-game content guild, are there any Christian guilds out there who are involved in end game content? I guess the question should be, what servers are you folks on that are "large enough to do the gaming content" yet "small enough to just have fun" ?

Maybe I will see you folks online sometime, if I finally choose to break away from a currently poor situation.

We play on Stonemaul \ Alliance (PvP) 99% of the time. We aren't big enough to run end game content on our own, but have a real nice alliance with one of the largest alliance guilds on the server who offers us spots on one of their 2 MC teams and 3 Onyxia teams. Maybe someday we will become large enough to run our own MC\Onyxia teams. As of now, we can run ZG on our own with a few pickups. And we are active in opening the AQ gates and have our sights set on the AQ20 man instance.

Not everybody in the guild is into the faction\dungeon grind life of 60. Some people perfer to keep it small, and take their time levelling their toons and they really enjoy the leveling\XP grind of the game. And thats cool too. I know a few us try and help out when we have free time. Personally, I don't like taking my 60s through the deadmines, its really counter-productive to new people, it doesn't teach them how to play their toons in a group to over come challanges.

Nobody likes to be ganked on a PvP server, but most people in our guild, when they become 60 really enjoy the PvP aspect. Probably because all the ganking gets them boiled under their collars. We have a few people who are in the top 150 rank on the alliance. And according to the PvP rankings, our guild takes up more then a page.

As for people saying hurtful things, even when they say they are a christian, it happens. Christians often are the biggest hypocrites in the world. They say one thing and do another knowing full well the whole world is watching them. Can't stop some people from doing the wrong thing.

If you would like to join with us for a short time, please feal free to contact one of our recruiters online. Goblit, Papatoad or Klangdon. If you do a /who Redeemed, and you don't see any of these people, they may be on an alt. Just ask somebody if any of these people are on. If you ask a 60, you're more likely to get somebody who knows who their alts are as well.
