An Introduction

Hello, I'm new to this site and still trying to learn my way around. I'm not really gifted with much social prowess to know best how to jump into participating, but I figured introducing myself would at least be a start.

My real name is Kris, but others often call me Tigress. I'm a long term gamer but a newbie Christian. I still haven't yet figured out how to not swear in PvP. My husband is also in the same boat himself, and we haven't yet found a church to be part of so we feel kind of alone and struggling with things, but do our best to stay connected with the Lord and get by as best we can.

We both have a lot of gaming experience and share this part of life together. These days we mostly play WoW and run a small guild on Sentinels devoted to Arena PvP. I am also trying to learn to be a good housewife which I haven't found to be very easy, but I know it's important so I'll keep at it.

I play CounterStrike and Guildwars and am a member of God's Frozen Chosen. Our forums are a part of GFC. We don't have a WoW chapter at this time, but you are more than welcome to post in our general area. In addition, I am the CGA Staff Manager and Religious Discussions moderator.

Being new to Christianity can be tricky. But it can be so incredibly rewarding too. Finding a good Biblically based church will help out a lot, but the process can take some time. If you have any questions about Christianity, please do not hesitate to ask. We have a lot of members who know a lot about Christianity.

I was saved in 2000. It seems like just yesterday when I was baptized. Wow, time flies. My husband (hescominsoon or HCS for short) is the forum admin. We have been playing games together for about 3 years. He actually introduced me to CounterStrike. We have a 6 (almost 7) year old daughter who likes to stand behind me with a yard stick and "shoot" the bad guys when we play (only on the GFC server though).

First, Welcome glad your here. Im Atown and overall....... CGA old-timer(?) (regardless of my age) any questions feel free to ask, i use to play WoW but cant afford the addiction so i play Counter-Strike and Guild Wars, C&C, SC, and maybe other games >.>
Second, to build on what Gen said, we also have several sections for advice and questions relating to christianity that help alot, and dont be afriad to ask for prayer or post. the people here are awesome and we're always excited for new members ^_^. happy posting
 
Welcome! Good to have you. There's really no way to "start" here at CGA. Just jump in and start posting -- that's what I did, and everyone loves me (right? right?).

I'm not too much of a gamer anymore. If I play, I'm on XBL with Halo 2. Unfortunately, my free 1 month ran out. I'll be back on once the Halo 3 beta comes out.

Thank you all for the warm welcome

Sorry to take so long to post back, but upon reflection I thought I should invest some additional work and time in home and guild for a while to make sure to be able to keep up my responsibilties with them before starting to become involved in a new community. I am very excited to be here and that a place like this even exists and I hope to be able to bring others here in the future.

I did look over the list of WoW guilds but there were none on my home server of Sentinels, and even if there were we already have committments made to our current guild that wouldn't be right to abandon. However if there's anyone on Sentinels (Alliance-side) that would be interested in having a general chat channel for Christians that is independent of guild I would be very happy to participate in that.
 
well u could always join the CGA too if you were interested in it and the forums could be joined
 
Oh, well we don't have forums, only guildchat, and we haven't made a requirement for our members to be Christian only so I don't know that they could all be transplanted here. However I'm going to be making a web page for them in the near future and will put up a link to CGA so that those who would be interested will be able to find their way here.
