AV exploit

There is an BG exploit as of the last patch which allows a person to cap a GY from 20-40 yards out. For example you can cap Stormpike gy in AV from atop the closest mountain. I was wondering why, last night, AV wait time went down to 20 min. The drop in que time made no sense what-so-ever, now we know. This exploit is possible on all BGs, but for some reason horde is using it to win AV. They are also playing defense now (probably because they now care about winning)..

*edit* ah, didnt see this was included in the Bugs post below...

Winning in AV

Have everyone go on O.
We have not lost yet since we have been doing this.

It's basicaly a rush to the boss.
If you don't have the nearest GY yet, have someone rez you as time is important.

Having played AV a ton on the Horde side, let me encourage you all to go full O. This strategy will fail nearly always for the horde, but will almost always succeed as alliance. The NPCs and the terrain on this map alone will all but guarantee an alliance win. The towers and bridge that the horde have to take, are much harder to take, and take longer to clear out than is true for the alliance.

Also putting just 5 alliance on D is also a good strategy as well.

I wonder how they will live with their conscience in the future when they mature. Even though I like the challenge, and the change of pace in AV. I don’t believe I would like to look back upon myself as having to cheat to win a game. Such small rewards.

interesting that 'all O' is still the key to victory. I played 2 games last night lost both.. I heard 6 losses in a row in guild chat, stats like this. If your right, then the huge swing is not really the cheating but a couple factors. Number 1, horde is not AFKing any more they smell blood in the water and they are loving it. Number 2 is, the whole exploit thing has got alliance freaked out and there is a lot more focus on 'not letting them do the exploit' and thus more alliance are looking over their shoulder than before towards D. So the combination of no more AFKers and more Alliance D is spelling doom for alliance AVs. But I think you are right, the base NPCs alone and towers are enough to give alliance a couple min advantage meaning if both teams zerg alliance will win most of the time (like they used to do)
