As many of you know I'm a Family Therapist with an undergraduate degree in Christian education and a Master's in Family Therapy. We got an urgent alert through one of the many newsletters I get through organization I belong to. It seems a young man was caught right before he attempted to commit suicide. He got the idea from others online in a game. He was directed to sites which told him how to do it by others in the game. This seems to be a rising trend in these games. Idiots like to tell others who may be a little lost as is things like this or there may be some who are looking for help and come to these games hoping to find it. PLEASE if you come on one of these and it looks serious do what you can to befriend them but if suicide seems an option for them contact myself or someone trained to handle these things. I can be reached easily enough and I'll give Esua my cell number if needed. Games like WoW will always attract hurting young people but we need to be ready to respond.
