Welcome to another "Are you getting ____ game?" thread.

So, what do you all think of the BFME II screens/videos? They certainly look amazing and especially so for those of us who are Tolkien fanatics. The game will be narrated by the actor who played Elrond in PJ's films. Much of the music also has come from the films and a CD soundtrack of it all is included in the game's Collectors Edition (along with a special summonable dragon *WOOT* and a few other goodies).

The gameplay has changed as well, with the ability to build anywhere on the map now being an option. You can also now build walls and massive fortresses (yay for Helm's Deep!). There is also a create-a-hero option that looks pretty decent and not too cheesy. If you pre-order the game now you will get a beta code that allows you to start playing the multiplayer beta game immediately. Sweetness!

That's the one thing I didn't like about BFM 1, not being able to build were I wanted to on the map.

On a sidenote, is anyone aware of other gaming clans that play BFME and will be playing BFME II? We have not had much luck here at ToJ with RTS chapters and I'd really like to have a set group of people to play this game with upon release. If anyone can recommend something, I'd be very thankful.

Got my beta code last night for pre-ordering. The game is definitely going to be more strategic and it looks great. Tolkien fans will really enjoy this one, I think.

So, is anyone else trying or going to try the beta? It was just opened to Fileplanet subscribers today, so there is more access to the beta without the requirement of having to completely pre-order the game. C'mon, RTS and LotR fans. Don't tell me I'm gonna have to be a one-man clan.

But in all honesty, the game looks amazing. This is a very good upgrade.

(And if I can find players, I may pick up a copy of BFME and start playing it again.)
