yweah i vote UW full GW team, no specialty groups either, just anyone who wants to come can come n stuff

Old UW (Temple of Ages) or new UW (Tombs of Primeval Kings)?

The old UW is ok without a specialty group. The new UW is much harder without some specialization, not to mention that it takes a bare minimun of 2.5 hours for a run to the greens. 3 hours is more realistic.

Vibro Katana took me to the new UW in a Ranger Barrage group yesterday that worked better than any I have seen yet. We had 2 healing Monks (both with Aegis), 1 Orders Necro, 1 MM Necro, and 4 Ranger Barragers all with pets.

This is noteworthy because nobody seems to like Rangers in their groups at War Camp. I've seen nowhere else where pets are in demand. The new UW is Ranger heaven.

Healing Monks will certainly earn their pay in the new UW. The intensity is ferocious. I am usually healing just as fast as I can click until my energy runs out. By the time we finish a run I feel like I need a cigarette or 2 and I don't even smoke.

Further thoughts on future "build your wealth" runs........

IDS........I know a way where we can take a full 8 man group regardless of profession to the Ice Cave by running, not fighting. This includes Monks and others that have no running skills (those with "Charge" can make anyone in their close proximity runners). We need at least 2 W/Me with elemental resistance (3 would be ideal). Any others who have a Mesmer secondary with elemental resistance would be great but this is not required. The W/Me can almost solo the imps anyway so they are there for aggro. Casters who are vulnerable to the ice imps can stay back, heal up....run up....cast once or twice and retreat to heal up again......over and over.

The only place we need to fight before the cave is the Tundra Giants because their stomp will knock down those without balanced stance. They are not hard to kill.

The way I travel there is a rez shrine not far from the Ice Cave. Several times I have seen one person get 2 IDS on the same run. I would suggest that if this happens that we share with someone else who doesn't have one yet. I have one in my pack that I will give to someone in our group that has never gotten one and fails to get a drop when we do this run.

------------------------------------------------------

Sorrows Furnace..........Any who have farmed here know about Orozar or Final Assault farming runs. I suggest something different........farming by not taking a quest. There are 2 bosses that show up here that don't appear anywhere else.....Tarnok Forgerunner (Ranger) and Gardac Fleshweaver (Necro). Gardac's stuff is in demand because no one does this type of farming anymore. The ususal bosses are here (Brohn, Tanzit, etc.).

The big difference is there are MANY more baddies to kill with the resulting MANY more drops of routine items. You can fill up a pack on this run while you won't on Oro or FA.

We need one stance warrior to hold a gear and take aggro. We also need one barrier/bond Monk and one healing Monk. The remaining members of our group can be any professsion up to a full 8 man team.

---------------------------------------------------------

The green boom is dwindling down swiftly. It is harder and harder to sell green items. We should concentrate on going after the higher dollar items. With that in mind, Bortak is still a good seller. He only appears in the Orozar quest. We can do just the quest, not Oro farm, and Malinon, Bortak, and Rago all usually appear. These are all still good selling high dollar items.

dunno if we would be able to do new UW with the minimum time doing it being 3 hours.... but i do want an ogre slaying knife..... but yeah, halonic its ur call since ur the best farmer we have, the reason i suggested 8-man no speciality groups is that, IE SF 5man , or UW trapper or 55/nec, no average ele, mesm, ranger, are allowed to do the farming, thats somethin thats kinda bothered me a couple times when ive tried getting groups together. but yeah im all for 8-man uw,sf,ids, just name place n time halonic

I should be home from church and ready to play about 8pm central tonight. I would suggest old UW or plain Sorrows farming for a full 8 man team. Eles, Mesmers, and Rangers welcome.

Some others can't get on till later. If we don't have enough at 8 central, we can take henchies or pick-ups to fill the group out. Then we could do a second run when others get on later. Or we can wait on more....choice is yours. Lets see how many show up at approximately 8pm central and who has favor and we'll go from there.

Lets not forget our pre-ascension folks. I have made runs for Charr hides before commencing at Pikens Square with a stop at Grengich Courthouse and ending in the flame temple corridor (where Altheas Ashes are located).

I just drop everything that has my name on it so the others can pick it up. Lower level folks need to build their wealth too. I'm available for this run at other times also if any of you are strapped for cash.

Aye, my ranger can pretty much clear out any Ascalon area (that's how I got all my Christmas stuff :D ) so I can help with that as well.

Im wanting to do something wealth-building wise, such as an IDS run. :)

I am willing to offer my 55 Monk to take a group in that might not normally work. If she is not needed I have 3 other characters including an SS necro if there is a 55 Necro or something.

Did someone say 55Necro :D

I just got mine going last night (Thanks Shoe!). Worked pretty well against Hydras last night, but I want to play with it some more against other stuff before going to UW solo. Maybe I'll pick on minotaurs and griffins next.

Coolio...
My 55 nec has been able to clear aataxes and grasping darknesses...my last one was my best :D
I'm getting better at it...
