I don't understand why we organize outings like this on church nights. Seems to me that maybe YOUR (whoever) particular church doesn't have church that night, but someone else's does. And if you plan things on that night, it will tempt that other person to skip church to play Guild Wars. It just seems to me that Christians shouldn't be organizing runs and stuff on church days/nights.

That's my 2 cents, whether or not you think it's overboard.

Build Your Wealth always occurs in my time zone way after the evening service has ended.

Same here. Also you can always come after your service and usually ppl are on to do farming runs or to help.

I don't think you're overboard at all in your concern. Far too many of us are in the habit of abandoning our local Churches, which need us as much as we need them. In my own case though, our Church does little on most Sunday nights - and to be honest I am much happier that way, because otherwise it is very hard for Sunday to be a day of rest for Dea and I as God intended it to be. Other churches have important activities on Sunday night, and I hope that anyone who attends one of those churches will not be tempted away by our guild activities. As others said, just join in after your service.

Personally, I don't do either Guild Wars or church on Sunday nights. Dea and I spend most Sundays with good friends of ours - playing with their kids, playing games, and generally just relaxing. In the past, we used to have about 4 hours between services, with a 30-40 minute drive to and from church each way. We loved all the church stuff and still do, but we're both much happier now and better able to find the rest and regeneration we need.

I have music practice on Tuesday nights. Does that mean that NO ONE in the guild should organize something from 7-9 EST on Tuesdays because I might be tempted to skip music practice?

I understand your concern Goose, but taken to your premise's logical conclusion, no one should organize anything because someone might have something at their home church that might conflict with this. I'll make something very clear: If you have something going on at your home church, GO THERE. We will never, EVER organize anything during Sunday morning service time.

It just so happens that we held a vote on this a few months ago, and Sunday won as the best night for members of our guild to get together and farm, just like Thursday won for Bible Study and Monday/Friday for PvP.

I haven't voted but will abide by the will of the majority and help with any farming you choose to do tonight.

As an offshoot of the farming thread, I would be interested in any farming info you might have in Cantha in addition to those listed above. I went on a Flesh Golem cap run the other day just trying to get Ghial's staff to drop (about 50-60k). Other than that (and the Altrumm Ruins run) I have done no farming in Cantha.

Best green farming place(s)? Fill me in.

I say we take a group Kaolin farming. In the Sunjiang District there is a boss mob called the Mesmer's Construct. It drops a green called the Kaolin Domination Staff. It has the skin of a platinum staff and is worth 100k+ectos. This is because it is the best domination staff available in the game and the Mesmer's Construct rarely drops it. I for one would love to get one for my mesmer but at that price selling it may be a better option.

Also if you want a nice solo farming build there is a solo w/mo build to go kill the stonereaper boss. I've gotten him to drop his staff once in aobut 5 runs so far. It's a quick run taking only about 5 minutes tops per run. The stonereaper staff is currently worth about 15k so if you can amass a few of these your wealth can build quickly.

I second that! The Kaolin drops, especially the mesmer staff, sell nicely. And I actually have access to that mission!

Actually it's better if you have finished the mission and go farming in the explorable area. A construct for each class spawns in the explorable whereas the mission only yields 4; the mesmer, ritualist, ranger and assassin.

I can bring Rho along on any of the farms if there is an empty slot. The canthan green farming sounds like the biggest bang for the time if it drops. I will be happy to go with the will of the majority (insert Spock quote here).

Kaolin Farm sounds like fun but it is not on the poll list tonight. I am on vacation starting tomorrow and would be glad to do it any time after tonight.

"Take over the world" did win the poll...I think that vote meant either "I won't be playing, but I love Pinky and the Brain" or "I'll do whatever."

What time does farming start, anyway? Paul wants to farm.

I don't have a clue what Pinky and the Brain is. Sounds like Pastori has been drinking out of Soup's water bottle.
