All the parts are arriving Thursday and the case is arriving Friday, the case shipped from CA and the parts from TN, hence the difference. I can't wait.!!!!>!>!)(#@$#*@

Installing Vista now...

After finally putting everything together, I turn it on and both the CPU fan and the 2 rear exhaust fans are not spinning. I turn it off quickly for fear of overheating the CPU. After consulting some with Angrywife in-game, THANKS!, I switch to a different power connector for the CPU and rear fans. Turn it on to test and this time the CPU fan works but rear fans still don't spin, although the LEDs light up on them. I try loosening them a bit and they can spin a little better. Lo and behold I installed them backwards! DOH. Mind you it was about an hour that I pondered why it wasn't working... I flip them around, turn it on and everything works. Note the time that I received the computer in the mail till now... Sigh...

Windows sure does take a long time to install. :(

Vista is like 15 GBs for the home edition...so I doubt 15-20 mins would do it...XP maybe...Vista...no way...

ok...let me put it this way, i've yet to have it take longer than 20 min :)

they changed the way it installs so that the image is largely a layout and doesn't require installation per se.

FYI...around 10GB with optional features added on the ultimate edition :)

After it booted up for the 1st time and I was waiting for the 1st screen to ask what language to install it in, it was stuck on that blank background for a long time. After that it wasn't too bad. Gonna make a new thread with all the pics now. :D
